Medical Malpractice
Medical Malpractice is underwritten worldwide, with the exception of the United States, on a claims-made basis. We prefer the lead underwriter position, offering up to £10 million (or the local currency equivalent) per claim capacity. Our main territorial focus is on risks located in the European Union and Commonwealth countries, but we will entertain submissions from other countries. Our preferred risk categories are:
- Public health authorities
- Public and private multi-hospital systems
- Public and private free-standing hospitals
- Academic medical centres
- Private clinics
- Larger (25+) groups of physicians, surgeons and dentists
Working within the team at Newline, we are often able to combine medical malpractice cover with other covers (third-party liability, employers’ liability, professional indemnity, etc.) in order to create bespoke package policies.
