Carl Overy
Global Chief Executive Officer
Carl Overy was appointed President & Chief Executive Officer of Odyssey Group on January 1, 2025, and is also the Global CEO of OdysseyRe, managing its reinsurance portfolio and underwriting platform operating through five regions: North America, Latin America, EMEA, Asia Pacific and London.
Carl joined the Company in 2001 and was appointed Chief Actuary of the London Market Division in 2002. He was promoted to Chief Executive Officer of the Division in 2008, serving in CEO roles for both Odyssey Reinsurance Company’s London branch and Newline Group. Prior to Odyssey, Carl was a pricing and reserving actuary for Sphere Drake and an actuarial consultant for Bacon & Woodrow.
He received a BSc in Mathematics with Engineering from Nottingham University and is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries.

Brian Quinn
Chief Executive Officer, North America
Brian Quinn was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Odyssey Reinsurance Company’s North America Division in 2011. He had served as its Chief Underwriting Officer since 2009 and previously held the position of Executive Vice President of the U.S. Casualty Treaty operations. Mr. Quinn’s tenure at OdysseyRe spans 30 years, which includes predecessor company TIG Re. Prior to joining OdysseyRe, he worked at Constitution Reinsurance Corporation in various underwriting and management positions.
Mr. Quinn was a board member of the Intermediaries and Reinsurance Underwriters Association (IRU) and served on the Executive Committee of the Brokers and Reinsurers Market Association (BRMA). He holds the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from St. Lawrence University.

Philippe Mallier
Chief Executive Officer, Latin America
Philippe Mallier is Senior Vice President of OdysseyRe and has head office management responsibility for Latin America. He also leads the specialty property and marine underwriting team for Hudson Insurance Group.
Philippe joined OdysseyRe in Paris in 1997 and transferred to the United States in 2003. He has held various underwriting positions within facultative and treaty reinsurance as well as retrocessional placements. Philippe is a graduate of Janson De Sailly, Paris, Mathematics and hold a Master’s in civil engineering from the E.S.T.P, Paris.

Isabelle Dubots-Lafitte
Chief Executive Officer, Europe, Middle East & Africa
Isabelle Dubots-Lafitte is the Chief Executive Officer of the Europe, Middle East & Africa region of OdysseyRe. She manages both the Paris and Stockholm offices and oversees the operations for OdysseyRe’s EuroAsia Division. She is based in Paris.
Isabelle began her career in 1989 at the Compagnie Transcontinentale de Réassurance (CTR), which was acquired by OdysseyRe in 2000. During her 25 years of service, she assumed greater levels of underwriting, marketing and management responsibilities, culminating in her appointment as head of underwriting and marketing of all treaty business within France in 1999.
Isabelle is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Statistics (ISUP) and a member of the French Actuary Institute.

Lucien Pietropoli
Chief Executive Officer, AsiaPacific
Lucien Pietropoli is the Chief Executive Officer of the Asia Pacific region of OdysseyRe. He spent 15 years, based in Paris serving as Chief Executive Officer of OdysseyRe EuroAsia division from 1st January 2000 until 14 February 2015 where he managed Europe and Asia region. Since 15 February 2015; he’s been based in Singapore and manages the whole Asia Pacific portfolio including the two representative offices - Tokyo and Beijing.
As at 1st July 2025; Lucien has 56 years of experience in the reinsurance industry, most of which devoted to underwriting and marketing in Asia and Europe. He has been with OdysseyRe including its predecessor company, Compagnie Transcontinentale de Reassurance (CTR) since 1997 where he started as General Manager of the Singapore branch. Prior to joining OdysseyRe; he was with CCR, SCOR; AGF Re and SAFR in various underwriting and management positions.
Lucien is a graduate of the French Insurance School in Paris.

Robert Pollock
Chief Executive Officer, London
Robert Pollock was appointed CEO of Odyssey Group’s London Market Division, which encompasses both the London branch of Odyssey Reinsurance Company and Newline Group, the international insurance arm of Odyssey Group, in April 2023.
Robert joined Odyssey Group in 2004 in the casualty treaty underwriting division and has since progressed through several positions, each with increased underwriting authority and broader responsibilities. He was named the Head of U.S. Financial Lines, Cyber and Workers Compensation in 2021.
Robert received a BS in Business Administration from Penn State University and studied Data Analytics at the Harvard Business School. He holds ARe and CPCU designations.

Elizabeth Sander
Executive Vice President & Chief Actuary
Elizabeth Sander is chief actuary of Odyssey Group responsible for pricing, reserving, data analytics, and claims worldwide. She joined the company in 2005 and served as senior vice president and chief reserving actuary until 2014.
Prior to Odyssey, she was senior vice president at Alea North America and was responsible for the oversight of its North American legal entities, including the reinsurance, insurance and alternative risk divisions. She began her career at Reinsurance Corporation of New York.
She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS) and a member of the American Academy of Actuaries.

Robert Crowther
Senior Vice President, Director of Global Claims
Robert Crowther was appointed Senior Vice President, Director of Global Claims in October 2021. He joined Odyssey’s Asbestos and Environmental unit in 2011 and later stepped in to manage our relationship with RiverStone when liabilities were transferred to them. In 2018, he was promoted to director of Operational Claims and has been instrumental in developing the claims module of Phoenix.
Prior to Odyssey, Robert spent time at Travelers – DiscoverRe, Trenwick America Reinsurance Corporation, The Hartford Financial, Orion Capital / Royal SunAlliance, and Aetna Property & Casualty / Travelers.
Robert attained his Juris Doctorate from the Western New England School of Law and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association. He holds a BA in Political Science, Cum Laude, from Long Island University.

He is responsible for leading global IT Shared Services across Hudson Insurance Group, Newline Group and Odyssey Re, including real estate, corporate applications, infrastructure operations, cyber security, governance, enterprise project management and AI/innovation programs.
Ron brings more than 42 years of operations and IT experience within the specialty property (re)insurance industry. He has played a key role in driving modernization, advancing digital capabilities and strengthening the company’s resiliency through secure and efficient technology operations. His leadership has been instrumental in aligning IT strategy with business priorities and enabling underwriting excellence across Odyssey Group’s global businesses.
Prior to his current role, Ron held senior leadership positions spanning operations, technology and governance, during which he oversaw large-scale transformational initiatives. His career has been defined by building strong teams, delivering secure and resilient services, and fostering innovation to support business growth.

Kate Delaney is Senior Vice President and Director of Human Resources for Odyssey Group, the collective name for Odyssey Re Holdings Corp. and its subsidiaries.
Kate began her career with Odyssey in 2001. She has held several roles during her tenure with Odyssey, managing countless projects and initiatives while working seamlessly with senior management.
Kate earned her Master of Business Administration from Fairfield University and her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Rhode Island.

Our long-standing presence in markets such as property catastrophe and retrocession, international marine and energy, space, UK motor, casualty and accident & health has been enhanced recently by expanding our product offering to the full suite of specialty lines such as terrorism, political violence, credit, political risk and cyber both on a proportional and non proportional basis.
We provide our clients and brokers with a well-diversified platform enabling us to meet their reinsurance needs across all lines of business, offering a solid reputation for outstanding service, a proven technical expertise and willingness to quote and lead.
